Our team has a combined total of around 30 years experience working in the waste and recycling sector.
Director
Bobby Benson started recruiting in recycling in 2009, and founded Robert Adams Search & Selection in 2014. He saw a sector being served by generalist agencies that didn’t understand it, and a recruitment industry built around CV volume rather than genuinely understanding a client’s brief.
Today, the business has grown into what the sector actually needs. Technical & engineering, procurement, bidding & commercial roles sit at the core of what we do.
Around that, we have established relationships with local authorities across the UK, along with national and international private sector operators, consultancies plus investment funds & asset managers, as more capital moves into waste and energy infrastructure.

80% of our work is based in the UK, reflecting our strong network in the industry.
We also place roles in mainland Europe and Asia, with many of our private sector operator, investment fund & asset manager, and consultancy clients operating internationally.
